Schooner Woodwind aims to provide you with the most unique and authentic sailing experience on the Chesapeake Bay. Due to the various weather conditions, wind speed, and wind direction, we have no set course and each sailing cruise is unique. In the same day it is possible for us to be drifting in the lightest of breezes and hours later we may have the boat at a 35° angle with waves coming across the bow. These varied conditions are part of the adventure of sailing. This variety along with great Captains and crew is why many people return and many friends have been made.
Wind is our power, sun is our warmth, and rain can be refreshing. Please be prepared for the weather conditions of the day.
It the performer does not perform, the sail will continue as planned and the performance portion of the ticket price will be refunded.

As a touring artist, Asher has shared the stage with Shawn Mullins, Glen Phillips(o/ Toad the Wet Sprocket), Emerson Hart, Angie Aparo, Corey Smith, Sister Hazel, Collective Soul, 3 Doors Down, Steve Cropper and many more.
Born in the small town Bowdon, GA, Gareth Asher was raised on a steady diet of old school funk, rock and soul. Asher attributes many of his musical sensibilities to monumental artists like Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins, and groups like Chicago. As a writer, he respects the work of iconic performing songwriters like Jackson Browne, Otis Redding, and Don Henley and The Eagles.
"I feel like my shell is finally cracking, and the best songs are starting to emerge. All my inner most thoughts and emotions are breaking through to the surface, and insisting on a ray of light to shine down upon them", says Asher.
"Gareth has a wonderful way of singing to your soul", says Captain Jen, "add that while sailing on the Chesapeake and you have the perfect moments that will turn into favorite memories. Don't miss this show!"We do sail rain or shine. If the musicians cannot play due to the weather, but we can still sail- we will refund the performance part of the ticket.
